  1. Choose a photographer you truly vibe with If you feel comfortable with them as a human, it will show in your photos. Trust and connection matter more than posing.

  2. Do an engagement session first Think of it as a practice run. You’ll learn how your photographer works and realize you don’t need to know what to do.

  3. Focus on each other, not the camera The best moments happen when you’re laughing, talking, or soaking each other in—not performing.

  4. Trust the process (and your photographer) You don’t need to be “photogenic.” Your job is to be present; your photographer’s job is to guide you.

  5. Move naturally Walking, swaying, holding hands, or whispering something funny creates natural, relaxed images.

  6. Breathe and slow down Take a deep breath. Pausing for just a moment helps your body relax—and it shows beautifully in photos.

  7. Wear something that feels like you Comfort equals confidence. When you feel good in what you’re wearing, it translates instantly.

  8. Forget perfection Wind-blown hair, real laughter, teary eyes—those imperfect moments are what make your photos timeless.

  9. Build in buffer time A relaxed timeline = relaxed energy. When you’re not rushed, everything feels easier.

  10. Remember why you’re there You’re marrying your person. When you stay grounded in that truth, the camera fades into the background.
